Personality: Horrendously shrewd and old-fashioned, but warm and generous to those who are kind to others

DETAILS
Althaea, quite simply, is a house deity; she has the power to manipulate the fortunes of those who live within her domain. Though her power is limited to manipulating fortune and fate and enhancing magic within the house in which she dwells, she is powerful and is capable of great, however latent, karmic machination. Her influence is hardest felt when times are at their hardest; families who fight and argue and disrespect her place in the home have terrible luck, thanks to her, while families that stick together through rough seas and show her due veneration are dealt a gentler hand. She is a quick judge of character, and does not take long to learn a person's nature. She is naturally drawn to people who are kind to other living things, regardless of their outward personality, and white magic users.

Althaea was once bound to one home, but has since been forced to move from time to time, as through the decades and centuries her dwellings are destroyed through fire, storms, old age, and demolition. She originally inhabited a farmhouse in Italy in the 1600's, but has moved through the years and has been all through Europe. Over centuries, she has cultivated enough power to take physical form, but can only maintain it within the confines of the home. Those who have formed pacts with Althaea are rewarded with better luck and higher yield in their craft, and oftentimes lone inhabitants find a welcome companion in her.

Echo Name: Althaea
Personality: Very friendly and warm and kind, but incredibly shrewd and a terrifyingly excellent judge of character. Very sneaky and excellent at hiding in places. She is inspired by folklore of house/kitchen spirits and the Kitchen God of Taoist legend- she herself was once a house spirit and observed the families of the house she occupied, affecting their fortune as she deemed fit depending on how well the family gets along. She is kind to those who get along well with others and just have a good attitude in general, and cold to... well, jerkasses. She generally wants everyone to get along though, so she will try to encourage people to be nice where she can, regardless of your attitude. She's very motherly and generous, which... comes off rather strangely, considering she's physically like. Sixteen or so. What sort of games do you plan on running?: Althaea will never run trauma games, to get that out of the way; however, she will mostly run exploradoras and I had an idea for a kind of game that might be interesting to try- sort of like a puzzle game, but with cooking, and the end product isn't the only deciding factor in winners! She will do mostly games that test teamwork, and she will not reward teams whose members do not get along with each other.
Echo Realm: A huge, open herb farm in a mountain valley. Herbs of every kind, neat but lush, grow in rows and patches that stretch for at least an acre. On one edge, backed by thin pine forests along the slope of the valley, stands a small, cozy cottage where Althaea resides. If one were to look inside, they would find it to be very rustic, with sparse decorations apart from the bundles of herbs hanging from string like a garland from the rafters. The well-stocked kitchen features an old-fashioned, cast-iron stove and fire-worn copper pots hanging on the wall, and in the corner is a small bed, piled with afghans and old, ratty quilts that still look very warm. Outside the cottage is a somewhat large yard that also runs alongside the herb patches; there is a seating area around a fire pit with level tree stumps for chairs, and there always seems to be enough stumps for everyone visiting minus one- Althaea always prefers the ground.
